Membership has its privileges! Taiwanese Canadian Cultural Centre is a non-profit, registered charitable organization and relies on the ongoing support of our dedicated members.
Your annual membership entitles you to receive an electronic subscription to the Taiwanese Monthly and new program reminder, voting privileges at the Annual General Meeting, free seminar, activities and discount at many programs!
Membership is open to all who subscribe to the Constitution and Bylaws of the Society.
Classes of members - both individuals and corporate persons may be members. There shall be four categories of memberships, namely:
- Ordinary members : those who attain membership by having their applications approved by the Board of Directors. Ordinary members are required to pay the annual membership fees. Ordinary members include: (1)Family member(member, spouse or common-law partner & children) annual fee $60 (2) Individual, senior couple(65+) and student member annual fee $40, in a timely fashion.
- Life membership is granted by the Board of Directors to those who have made a one time cash donation of not less than $1,200 or to those who have made a significant contribution to the Society by donating a gift or by an action which has resulted in a cash benefit of $5,000 or more to the Society. The Board of Directors can revise the minimum amount of the cash donation.The sum for donation will be reviewed annually by the Board of Directors and may be altered as deemed appropriate.
- Honorary members: those who are so designated by the Board of Directors.
- Sponsor members: those who sponsor the Society and are not included in the above three categories but are so designated by the Board of Directors.
